Happy Birthday!

Tonight we celebrated StreetSoldiers “Birthday”!!!!

What started with one small table and a pot of soup has grown to three thriving and growing locations that consist of dozens of volunteers and hundreds of friends being served weekly. Families have been reunited, people have entered and completed rehab, friends have gotten into housing. We have shared in the happy and sad tears, mourned losses, and celebrated births and amazing milestones. We couldn’t do what we do without ALL of you! Truly – each and every one of you. The momentum is strong. Doing what we can, when we can with the help and support of all of you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to us!!! It was an emotionally heartfelt night!! Our friend Peter started us of with singing the National Anthem. So proud of him!!

Tonight we laughed, we cried, we danced, sang, and had a GREAT time. We had raffle prizes for our friends and a beautiful Mum we raffled off for our volunteers. We had haircuts given by Ev, Fallon and Valerie and they were non stop from 6 to 8:30!! We had amazing live music by PLAYIN’ WITH FIRE BAND and the Paddy Wagon food truck. We were also surprised by WNYT NewsChannel 13 that came by for an interview.

Man…what a night!!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! We are SO proud of StreetSoldiers as a whole. Humbled and blessed!
